I find that I think cos the labels don't say whey or dairy or lactose or the hidden ingrediants on the pack its ok, but its not as i still end up ill.

They should list EVERYTHING in their product or give an address as to where we can find out..

The Vegan Society do a great little book called The Vegan Shopper (or The Animal Free Shopper on some versions). This lists all the products that are vegan (and therefore dairy free) and also gives explanations as to where various products and additives come from. It is well worth having and as it is pocket size you can take it shopping with you to translate some of the lesser known ingredients.

I've been told that most food colourings contain milk products so this is something to be on the look out for.
