This is a new site with information on Dairy Free living.

It is still under construction but it seems to have a lot of information on there already. The site is http://www.godairyfree.org

The site looks quite useful, has a very comprehensive list of milk ingredients.
Think it is an American site so some stuff may not be avaliable in Britain.

Will be interested to go back and look when its finished.

Thanks for the link

Quite an interesting site, there are some good lists of milk derivatives. Shame it is american as a lot of the products won't be available over here but still worth reading. The "my story" could do with a few more paragraphs though, it is hard to follow such a long paragraph without getting lost.

You may also want to check out this Canadian Milk Allergy website http://www.milkallergy.ca/ (http://www.milkallergy.ca/). Again the product information will be of little or no use to most of you, but there is some other interesting stuff too. The 'hidden milk' section may be of interest.

I am one of the people developing www.godairyfree.org (http://www.godairyfree.org/) We want to make the site international to include the UK, Canada, Austrailia, etc. so that we can reach as many people as possible around the globe.

If any of you could help us with your expertise in developing a product lists and other material specific to the UK or other counties please email me at anthony@godairyfree.org

Also let me know if you have any suggestions on the site or see errors. We are shooting for the site to be done by the middle to end of October.

Thanks in advance,

Maybe his ears were burning!

I think we've got all the information we need here, there's no point giving it all away to another site when people could be directed here instead. Why not just put a link on Go Dairyfree pointing to our site, something like " www.dairyfreeuk.com (http://www.dairyfreeuk.com) is an excellent site for dairy free people in the UK, with lots of information and friendly message boards (and no annoying advertisments)".

I like this site because the natives are friendly :) We have this brilliant forum. We have a great webmaster who looks after this site for us. I don't have time to sift through pages of info that is not relevant to me here in the Uk. As Pam said we have everything here.

The forum members are my friends and I know that they understand my problem and are here to offer help. Without Lan & Steve we would be all be struggling along on our own.

I don't intend to move site, but it can be useful to read other sites just for information. I'm staying here (unless I get banned :D )

Done! except for the part about "and no annoying advertisments".:D

The link is here http://www.godairyfree.org/guide/resources.aspx

We do not want to compete with your site, we are focued on working together with others to create an awarness about the benifits of dairy free living.

I checked the site and your link - it works :) Excellent. It has to be said that most of us here are dairy free because we are lactose intolerant or allergic to dairy.

I have never been that keen on milk but I still miss the milk chocolate :(

Thanks Anthony, it is very good of you to put a link to this site on yours. My comment was a little tongue in cheek and I didn't expect you to quote me word for word. Perhaps Lan and Steve will do the same for you if you contact them directly.

Links to a USA site could be useful for anyone planning to travel there on holiday.

Apologies for any previous hostilities but we tend to be a bit protective of our little site, especially when we think that spammers are coming here for a bit of free advertising. As you have said though, we can both benefit from working together to raise awareness of dairy free living.

It was me that posted the link to the site in the first post on the top of this thread, so it was not a spam link :)
