:) Tescos Fairtrade Double Chocolate Chip Cookies are dairy free. They taste quite good as well. :eat:

They're 99p a packet, but I was in Tescos today and decided I wanted cookies and was having them, so searched everypacket until I found these ones.

They've got gluten, wheat and soya in them though I think.

Oh yes these cookies are yummy. I have mentioned them before - about a year ago I think. I have one cookie every evening for supper :)

I've not been here long enough to know about your previous discovery Copper, Sorry. (I did a search for a thread on them and couldn't find it, so thought I'd post it anyway, sorry)

I'm weird and so therefore have to have two whenever I have them (don't ask, just accept the oddness!!)

I'm just greedy, I'd have to eat at least half the packet! Best not to buy them at all, then I'm not tempted!

I find (or rather, I should say found) they're so nice it's just not possible to only have one!

I bought some Bournville chocolate chips in our 99p shop as they don't appear to have milk in. Has anyone got a recipe for chocolate chip muffins or cookies? I thought I had one but can't find it.

any normal one will do just change the milk to dairy free likewise any butter,

with the muffins instead of buttermilk you could try coconut milk. not tried but should work. will obviously be cocnut and choc muffin then.

Bournville chocolate usually has butterfat in it so check the pack before you use it. I use either supercook choc chips (dark choc) at 59p or Asda's own dark choc chips (think they are 39p). I put a recipe for choc chip cookies on here a few months ago, they should be in the recipe section. They are very soft, chewy ones and need golden syrup in them.

Found it - it is on page 2 or dairy free recipes

I couldn't find the recipe section so I put my muffin recipe in a new thread. Perhaps Steve could make a more obvious (well to me) recipe section.

Thanks Pam, Matt and Copper.

I've checked the ingredients on the Bournville chocolate chips and they are:

sugar, cocoa mass, fat reduced cocoa, emulsifier E322

It says they are made by McDougals Foods for Cadburys.

Those ones probably aren't actually made of bourneville chocolate at all then - a bit naughty that really isn't it?

There is a recipe board in the main list of boards. If you go to the index page it is about 3rd or 4th down and called dairy free recipes. There are loads in there.

Linny you have to go the home page, click on Forums and then you will see the Recipes one - third on the list. Pam's biccies are on page 2.

Our mistake is to only click on new posts! I had to ask too and Pam told me on another thread :)
