I bought a book called 'Gut Solutions' yesterday and it is full of information about all sorts of digestive problems, including lactose intolerance, gluten sensitivity, constipation, diverticulitis, IBS, Crohn's disease, leaky gut syndrome, parasites, gallstones, and much more--just about every problem you could think of. The book is beautifully designed--lots of colour and diagrams, and lots of bullet points. For each condition is has sections on: What is it? What causes it? Who gets it? What are the signs and symptoms? How is it diagnosed? What is the standard medical treatment? Optional nutritional approaches. And there is a lot more besides.

It is probably the best book of this type I have seen and would recommend it to anyone with digestive disorders (and no I don't work for the publisher!). If you are interested in checking it out, the ISBN # is 0-9719309-2-9, the authors are Brenda Watson and Leonard Smith. I just discovered there is a website www.gutsolutions.com (http://www.gutsolutions.com/). Just checked Amazon UK (no, I don't work for Amazon either!) to see if it is available in the UK, and yes it is 13.04 UKP (sorry, my keyboard doesn't have a pound sign).

Thanks for that, I may try to get a copy, or request it at my local library.
