View Full Version : bernard matthews honey roast turkey
just a heads up. i usually got this every now and then as was marked up dairy, wheat, soya etc etc free. went yesterday on way back from kew, got some and ate it to then see the ingredients list changed to inlude milk and all the other free markers gone!
don't think there was much milk as no huge reaction but just incase anyone else partook.
I got a pack of this when I went shopping this week as it is on offer, I'll check the ingredients list and if it has milk in then hubby will be having it in his sandwiches, not me.
I think that all the Bernard Matthews slices have milk in (having checked the chicken ones last night) - I was eating them for ages and not reacting, though, so its probably less than 2% (which is the level I can cope with).

Hi all
I know every Bernard Matthews product I have ever checked seems to have dairy in. I just avoid anything with that brand name now.

His honey roast ham is ok (on BOGOF at Morrisons just now), the turkey is in the 2nd fridge down in the cellar so I can't look at the label at the moment. Most of the BM stuff does contain milk though so I always used to avoid it.

I also noticed that the frozen BM turkey meat has got lactose in it, (for flavouring), there are nice, but just to have the once, nice with a roast meal...
Yes the turkey ham has milk in, hubby will have to eat it.
it's just the fact that they changed without any warning.!!!

Complain Matt, you never know you might get an apology or reason!
Hi all,
Skips crisps did exactly the same. I ate them for years and had no problems then I happened to read the label and they contained milk protein. I hate it when they do that.
Lan. :(:(:(
i did complain and their answer was that they'd send me a list of milk free products if i wanted!
