Just had this information from the GoodnessDirect newsletter.

Further to Friday's newsletter, it has been brought to my attention that, although Booja-Booja chocolates are suitable for most people who are allergic to dairy products, there have been cases of reaction in the most sensitive individuals. Booja Booja now display the following caution on the packaging of all their truffles:

"To be safe, avoid if subject to severe allergic reaction to any food."

I spoke to Colin at Booja Booja on the phone a few years ago. He told me that they do not use any dairy ingredients but have to trust their suppliers that none of the ingredients have been contaminated. I think they are as safe as anything can be. Even Kinnerton's Nut free/dairy free zone had a mishap with their easter eggs last year.

They are still the best truffles you can buy. I'm hoping for some for my birthday - even if I have to buy them myself.

I'm not supposed to have them because they've got corn syrup in, but I can manage a couple - they're so gorgeous.

I got a box of Booja Booja truffles for Christmas from a good friend, I haven't tried them yet as I'm still eating the vegan ones Ian bought me, they're delicious!

I've got champagne ones and ginger wine - definitely worth the money. I'm not a coffee fan and the hazelnut ones have too much added to them (nuts and crunchy bits that I'd rather do without). I prefer the ones that I've got. The banana ones are nice too even though I don't usually like banana stuff.

I was really lucky and I didn't have to hint too much. I had 4 boxes of booja booja and all different flavours. That will keep me going for a few months. Good job the eat by dates are long.

The vegan dairy free chocs in Waitrose are now half price £2.99 a box. Ian bought me some as they last until end of Feb.!!!!

My Booja Booja chocs are assorted flavours. Tried the champagne flavour last night - yummy!!!:eat:
