Tesco have now changed the packaging on their own brand jaffa cakes to include milk in the allergy panel. Still no milk in the ingredients list though.

I *think* the co-op ones are still dairy free.

HI Pam

I noticed that a few weeks ago. Asda also changed their packing on the jaffa cakes and they now seem to contain milk.

I had noticed that the muli-packs and the value ones were milky, but the 12 cake packs were ok when I looked at the weekend - are these now verboten? I'll have a look when I go in next.

It was the 36 pack that I was looking at.

The 12 cake packs are still listed as milk-free. I looked at the different types in my local store and the value ones and the 36 packs of standard (orange box) both had milk listed in the allergy boxes, so stick with the 12 packs (and check the label before you buy them of course).

I really don't think that different recipes would be used for the 12/36 packs so I think the labelling is wrong on either one or the other - the question is which? Maybe we should challenge Tesco on this one.

Well I'm eating the 12 packs and am ok. I think they may be made in a different factory?
