Dear friends,
here is the recipe of nice, easy cookies, based on an American recipe. This is why it calls for cups.
1 cup flour (I used half corn and half rice)
1 tsp baking powder
1 stick soft margarine (about 120 g)
1 egg
1/2 cup sugar
zest of 1 lemon
Mix all the ingredients. Add enough water so that the batter can easily be spooned onto a baking try covered with sulphured paper.
Bake at 180°C for about 10'.
Buon appetito!

sound good might well try some next time i bake.

I refrained from eating them all at once, I already have extra-weight. But I would have done so, especially knowing that they are safe!

oh come on, you really want me to get on my knees and beg, im a sucker for home baking and i hear your a great cook....:notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy
i'll see when i get round to them. have to be in the right sort of mood to bother baking for me. happily bake for daughter but she's normal and had wheat, where i avoid it.... well sort of. i'm just in the process of testing myself out. trying a couple of normal biscuits to see what reaction there is.
going to local cafe with her and not being able to eat a cake made me as envious as hell. little by little though.:o

As the original poster said it was based on an American recipe I would use American cups.
I trawled the net a few years ago and did find some American cup measures that were for sale here in the UK.
