We were back at the hospital yesterday...and Cate has finally put some weight on (a whole 200g in a week!!!!). She's also pretty chirpy and is now pretty fast at cruising and crawling..she's also getting pretty cheeky!
The good news is that the consultant is happy to give her another month to see if we can get the diarrohea cleared up..if so, then we've got a diagnosis of wheat, dairy and soya allergy. We've started weaning her as well, and last night she drank a bottle of Pepti before bed, and then slept 12 hours solid without any tummy ache or grumbling. The GP has also sorted out all her prescriptions so tomorrow morning we can pick up all her pasta, bread and flour etc..they're even giving her biscuits to help her put on weight.

Great news - this has made my day. I hope she stays well and puts on weight. I bet you feel happy too :)

Does this mean she might escape an endoscopy?

as long as she continues to gain weight and we don't see anymore blood or mucus in her nappies, then it looks as if we'll not only escape the endoscopy, but also the steroid treatment she was meant to start on Monday!

We've also had another 12 hours sleep from her last night, and today she's been scampering around the lounge and trying to climb the stairs...we can't believe that just one week of wheat free in conjunction with everything else has done this...this time last month she was like a rag doll

It sounds like Cate is enjoying life again. The wheat intolerance must have made her feel really poorly. Good news that she has escaped the steroid treatment too.
