after a pretty good week, we have had a bad weekend.
On Friday I gave Cate some boiled egg for tea which she adamantly refused and I "tricked" her into eating. That night she screamed on and off and had terrible terrible diarrohea (involved washing her down a lot). SHe was abit better on Sat but slightly grmpy. Yesterday she was fine but then I made a sponge pudding using her marg and flour...and eggs. We've just had a bad night with lots more dodgy nappies....does anyone know whether she could have just developed an allergy to eggs out of the blue?

It sounds like poor Cate has a problem with eggs now. I am intolerant to eggs not allergic. Your description of Cate sounds like me after I last ate an egg - many years ago. It might just be that her tummy is still recovering from her lactose problem.

The foods that cause most problems are
dairy, eggs, wheat, shellfish

I would just stick to simple foods for now. I have used Orgran No Egg (from my local health food shop) in place of an egg in a steamed pudding and muffins. It works very well, maybe you could try that sometime. It is wheat and gluten free which is not a bad thing.

Poor Cate. I hope she is better soon.

It does sound like her body doesn't like eggs! poor thing! Watch out for any immunisations coming up as some are cultured with egg.
