Hello there, came across the forum last night. My 18 month old son was diagnosed with a dairy allergy in January so I'm still getting used to things and i'm finding it quite difficult trying to find all the right foods. I'm sure from what I've already read on here that i'll be able to pick up a few tips on this forum. :)
Hi, welcome to the site again.
Hope you stick around and share tips etc. If you have any specific questions let us know, and I'm sure someone can help out.
Where abouts in West Yorkshire are you from??

Welcome to the site. There are a number of people here with dairy free children so I am sure that they will be able to help. What type of foods are you struggling with?
welcome to the nut house. hopefully we'll be able to help with support or info. keep coming back and asking for anything specific.;)
Yorkshire members will take over this site eventually, we are growing in numbers all the time. Zarina, I've sent you a pm - maybe we can swap recommendations for good shops. Welcome to the site, by the way.

Hi Zarina, I'm over your way next week meeting some freinds for lunch at Victoria Garden Centre. Might pop into wakefield on the hunt for some health food shops with some dairy free stuff to try.

Yeah, thats where I'm going been there once before, yumm!
The only shop I know of in Wakefield is Holland and Barrett in the bottom of the Ridings, it is a reasonable size branch but it is still H&B. There was a little health food shop at the top of Westgate next to Jessops camera shop but that had closed down when I went to look the other week. If you find any more, let me know.
PS we like Victoria garden centre but it is a bit of a trek for us.
I've no idea where the Victoria Garden centre is....
Has been years since I last went to Wakefield- there's not really anything there, that I can't get in Leeds, which is easier to get to.

I looked on yell.com and there is another one listed but the listing may well be out of date, we'll see.

Even though Wakefields a little further the parking's more central as I can't walk that far without aches and pains, I very rarely go into Leeds unless it's something I can't get in the White Rose.
I last went to Leeds on the bus- one day when I was home from uni over Christmas I'd rather take the bus than drive, as then I don't have to worry about being alert enough to drive.... (Ok the trip did knock me out for several days, but I needed some essential clothing)
I end up going into Leeds for clothing- rely on specialist clothing, and have big feet, so need more choices!!
Sent you a PM Lou.
Victoria garden centre is on the Pontefract road just past Sharlston. It is quite a long way from Wakefield. It is a huge garden centre that doesn't really sell much for gardens. It has pets, ornaments, kitchenware etc and is very good for christmas decs.
