Welcome Sylvia. I am not much help in the baby department as my children are now in their 20s. There are a number of people here with babies/young children who are dairy free, so I am sure that they will be able to help.
If Taylor is happy and well on Nutramigen milk then that is good. We can all help with other foods once Taylor reaches that stage. We don't have to starve if we are dairy free. Processed foods contain dairy so really we need to cook from scratch like our mothers or grandmothers used to do :)
Hi Sylvia, welcome to the site.
My biggest piece of advice is to go with your and Taylor's mum's gut instincts and only take on board the advice given by professionals that you agree with. The "experts" often know very little whereas mummies tend to have a better feel for how their babies are doing. There are lots of people here and elsewhere who have already got the t-shirt so to speak and can show you the right direction to travel. It all seems daunting to start with but it does get easier.
Hope to see you around lots and feel free to ask all the questions you like on these boards.
Hi Sylvia,
We saw you briefly in chat last night. Feel free to join in at any time. Everyone is welcome.
Always nice to see a new member. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed at the ripe old age of 19 with lactose intolerance and have no knowledge of how it affects younger children. I know there are many though who will be more than willing to help.
Any dairy free products you need to know about, let me know.
Take care,
Lan. :lol2::lol2:
