Oh my! Sounds all very familiar. Could well be a dairy intolerance. Eden used to get terribly sore bottoms even with the smallest/tiniest amounts of milk. I found that the only thing that helped was SUDACREM and CANESTEN CF. The bleeding sounds as though you should consult a doctor. It may be worth having it checked out -just to be on the safe side.
What formula is he on now? Pepti?
I would try him without milk for 4 weeks. I know it can take ages to be seen by a dietitian and would, thus, do what's called ELIMINATION (=no milk in this case) starting now.
Keep us posted.
Vanessa.

I agree with Vanessa - cut out all milk now. This means that you have to check the ingredients on everything you give him. They like to hide milk and milk products in many foods. It might take a week or two to see a difference but it will be worth it.
This page of this forum gives you a list of ingredients to look out for and avoid.

Hopefully he will start to gain weight once his body has recovered from all that dairy. Also his bottom will not be sore once the dairy has cleared his system.

Hi your flag says you are in Afghanistan - I doubt it somehow :) I guess that is the default flag. I am assuming then that you are in the Uk.
Ice cream - there are two to look out for - Tofutti comes in various flavours and I have only seen that in a Jewish deli. It might be available in a health food shop. The other one is Swedish Glace which also comes in various flavours. The vanilla is usually in supermarkets - it comes in an octagonal shaped black box. The other flavours can be found in health food shops.
Chocolate - this tends to be on the bitter side for children. I like the Tesco organic plain chocolate as this is not bitter. Kinnerton also make dairy free chocolate but you will be lucky to find that anywhere. I had to buy a box of 20 large bars from them directly.

Try jelly babies. I'll eat them if he doesn't.:eat:
make friends with the local health food shop. they stock lots of stuff but most will happily order specific stuff in for you. if they don't then try a different one.
they may not stock stuff as not many people asking but doesn't stop them getting in the odd one for you.
Look out for Sweet William chocolate bars, they come in rice crackle or tangerine varieties and they are the nearest thing that you can get to milk chocolate without the milk. Sainsburys sell some free from chocolate bars too which are made by the same company but come in different varieties.
Plamil also do dairy free chocolate but it doesn't taste as nice as the sweet william bars. Also, have a look on the home page of this site, there is a news item about Peter Rabbit chocolate bars, they might be good if you can find them.
Other than that you are restricted to dark chocolate which is very bitter for children.
Ice cream - go for swedish glace as Copper suggested. It costs around £1.59 for 750ml so it isn't too expensive (flavours are about 60p more) and it tastes lovely, even my milk eating hubby prefers it to normal ice cream.
You really don't need to buy a lot of special foods, you just have to be more selective about what you buy and try to make more food yourself where possible - it's a chore but at least you know what goes in it.
I'm glad he is improving now anyway, you must be heading in the right direction.
